A teenage girl was left with an unfinished leg tattoo after deputies arrested an Immokalee tattoo artist on charges of possessing a homemade tattooing device.

Jesus Rolando Plata, 18, 1709 7th Ave., was charged with unlawful tattooing after deputies arrived at his home with a search warrant at about 7 p.m. Friday, just as he was tattooing the girl.

Reports say the girl’s father told deputies he did not give Plata permission to tattoo his daughter, a minor younger than 18.

Deputies seized his tattooing equipment, along with a pair of brass knuckles and a mini digital scale — resulting in charges of possessing narcotic paraphernalia and marijuana.

Another man at the home also was arrested after deputies say he had counterfeit documents. Hedra Lopez, 30, 3702 6th St. W., Lehigh Acres, was charged with fraud-unauthorized possession of a forged or stolen ID card or driver’s license.
